Cataclean®

Cataclean®

Cataclean® is a catalytic converter cleaner that quickly burns off built-up carbon and reduces emissions by up to 60%.

It’s ideal if you’re concerned about the effects of your vehicle’s emissions on the environment or if you believe your car may fail the MOT emissions test.

It is especially beneficial to cars which are subject to urban driving with lots of stopping and starting.

In fact, if you fail the emissions test after using Cataclean, we’ll give you your money back!

“Does it work? In a word, YES!” (Car Mechanics Magazine review)

How does Cataclean® work?

Cataclean works by artificially raising the temperature inside the engine to burn off built-up carbon deposits, leaving your exhaust system cleaner and your car running smoothly. It’s especially good for those who tend to take shorter drives, such as trips round town or short hops to work. This is because running the engine for short periods doesn’t allow it to heat up enough to burn off carbon.

Can Cataclean help me pass my emissions test?

Yes! Cataclean can reduce emissions by up to 60%, which is usually more than enough to pass the emissions test.

In fact, we’re so confident in our catalytic converter cleaner that we’ll give you your money back if you fail the emissions test after using Cataclean®!

Cataclean® won’t help if your emissions problems are caused by faulty components or software failures. Our technicians can inspect your system to check for these faults.

Does it work on any car?

Cataclean® can be used in both petrol and diesel engines of any capacity, but is not recommended for use with two stroke and non-injector (carburettor) engines.

How long does it take?

Catalytic converter cleaning doesn’t take long to carry out. You should allow around 15 minutes for our technicians to do the work. You’ll start to feel the results after around half an hour of driving.

Does this service include catalytic converter repair?

No. If any catalytic converter repairs are required, these will have to be carried out separately. We’ll always advise you upfront of any catalytic converter repair or replacement costs.
